Lucie and Clément celebrated their wedding in Narbonne and Gruissan, in the Aude. Their religious ceremony took place at Narbonne Cathedral. Their couple portraits followed at Gruissan’s salt pans and beach, while Château le Bouïs, in the heart of La Clape, hosted the reception and evening celebrations.
These photographs bring together the tradition of the ceremony, the romance of the portraits and the energy of the celebrations. Each setting has its place without becoming the sole focus of the images. My attention stays with Lucie and Clément, and with what connects the different moments of their wedding.
My approach to photography

A wedding in Narbonne and Gruissan means thinking about travel as well as photographs. Before the day, we go through your plans together to make room for portraits without letting them dictate the pace of the whole day.

During a religious ceremony, I work discreetly. I follow the order of service and the venue’s guidelines, looking for images that tell the story of the ceremony without asking you to recreate any part of it.

Gruissan’s salt pans and beach provide two distinct settings for Lucie and Clément’s portraits. Sunset on the beach is part of their story, and I keep the couple at the centre of the images.

From the cathedral to the evening celebrations at the château, my work goes beyond taking photographs. I consider the selection and editing together, so the wedding story retains a sense of continuity as it moves between locations.
Planning your wedding photography
These are the two locations Lucie and Clément chose for their portraits. For your wedding, we can explore this option with your schedule, travel and access arrangements in mind. The aim is to choose places you like without adding too much travel at the expense of time at your reception.
We check the sunset time for your wedding date in advance, then look at how to fit portraits into your plans. The weather is always uncertain, so I prefer to keep things flexible rather than make all your couple portraits depend on a single time slot.
You don’t need to know how to pose. I offer a few simple pointers when helpful, then give you space to be together. These portraits shouldn’t feel like a performance: above all, we’re looking for images in which you recognise yourselves.
