An elegant, warm-hearted celebration, from getting ready in the château to the reception in the grounds.
Donna and Wes brought their loved ones together at Château la Commanderie for a wedding that felt entirely their own: moving, joyful and full of celebration. After getting ready in the château, they held their ceremony beneath the trees, followed by drinks, dinner and dancing in the grounds.

Donna and Wes’s wedding at Château la Commanderie brought together a venue full of character, heartfelt emotion and the simple pleasure of celebrating together. From the preparations to the ceremony in the grounds, I photographed their day unobtrusively, paying as much attention to their relationships with family and friends as to the couple themselves.
After the ceremony beneath the trees, drinks and then dinner gave everyone more time together in the grounds. Dancing brought a fresh energy to the celebrations. In these photographs, I wanted to preserve both the elegance of the surroundings and the warmth of the occasion: the shared moments, the emotion and the joy of having everyone together.
My approach

During the preparations and the ceremony alike, I stay attentive without directing every moment. Working quietly gives you and your loved ones the freedom to enjoy what is happening, without feeling that you are constantly being photographed.

The château’s rooms and grounds each bring a different atmosphere to the photographs. I give them space in the story without letting the surroundings overshadow the people. The venue is part of your wedding story, not a substitute for it.

A glance, a laugh or an embrace does not need to be repeated for the camera. I prefer to let these exchanges unfold and photograph what makes each one distinctive. These are the moments that turn photographs into truly personal memories.

After the wedding, that work continues as I select and edit the photographs. Each image has its place in the wider collection, bringing back both the highlights and the quieter details while preserving the atmosphere of the day.

Before the wedding, we talk through your plans for the day, the spaces you will be using and the people you would like photographs with. We also set aside a little time for your portraits, so that the photography fits naturally into your celebration.
I work with the available light and the space I have to move, photographing your expressions and the reactions of your loved ones. My focus stays on the ceremony itself: I look for photographs that reflect what is happening, without interrupting or drawing attention to myself.
Yes. We can speak in French or English to prepare your wedding photography remotely. These conversations let us get to know one another, talk through your expectations and plan for the important moments, even if you cannot visit the venue before the wedding.
