The ceremony
In church, I work with as little intervention as possible. The uniforms, the ceremonial gestures and the expressions of family and friends already have so much to tell. My focus is on finding the right viewpoint and choosing the right moment, without interrupting the ceremony.
02
The sword arches
As they left the church, the couple passed beneath arches of swords. In these photographs, I wanted to show the ceremony and the military personnel in uniform while keeping Marie-Agnès and Eliott at the heart of the story.
03
The Peyriac lagoon
Out on the lagoon, there is room to let the landscape frame the couple’s portraits. It gives me scope to work with their outlines, movement and the dress. I offer a little guidance rather than directing every movement, leaving the couple room to be themselves.
04
The family property
The reception at the family property brought the couple and their guests together somewhere that meant something to them. For this part of the story, I focused mainly on the conversations and exchanges between loved ones, keeping a low profile so everyone could enjoy the celebrations.
