Maryan and Aurélien celebrated their wedding at Domaine de Baldassé in Saint-Affrique, Aveyron. They got ready at this elegant venue and returned there with their guests after the church ceremony. I joined Maryan and Aurélien as they got ready at Domaine de Baldassé. This venue in Saint-Affrique, Aveyron, has beautifully elegant spaces, but what also stays with me is the warmth that brought their guests together, from the church ceremony to drinks and music around the pool.
After the church ceremony, everyone returned to the domaine for the reception. Music accompanied drinks by the pool, with a lovely warmth to the gathering. At sunset, I photographed Maryan and Aurélien in the golden light. That welcoming spirit carried on through the wedding dinner and into the dancing.

During a church ceremony, I watch the couple’s gestures and the reactions of those closest to them. I move as little as possible, photographing discreetly and respecting both the church and the service as it unfolds.

Drinks and music around the pool brought the guests together in a wonderfully warm atmosphere. The elegance of the surroundings is there in the photographs, but it is the people and the feeling of the reception that matter most to me.
