Mathilde & Alexis at Couvent Notre-Dame des Prés
I joined Mathilde and Alexis for their wedding at Couvent Notre-Dame des Prés in Reillanne. This selection follows the preparations, time with their loved ones and the reception in the cloister, before returning to the couple on the dance floor.

The people and the moments in between
The dress beside the window, the rings and the quiet moments before joining the guests give the story its beginning. They are small details, but together they help bring back a particular part of the day. I like to include them without letting them become the whole story.
Later, Mathilde and Alexis make their way through the cloister surrounded by their loved ones, with ribbons waving around them. The movement in these photographs sits alongside the quieter portraits from the preparations and the family photographs in front of the building.
Dinner in the cloister at Couvent Notre-Dame des Prés
The tables follow the lines of the courtyard. Small, colourful arrangements, menus and bottles of olive oil sit on white tablecloths. Wider photographs give a sense of the space, while closer frames pick out the details chosen for the reception.
As the light fades, the strings of lights change the feel of the courtyard. A few aerial photographs show the guests gathered within the cloister and the building around them. I have kept these views to a small part of the selection, leaving room for the people at the heart of the celebration.
Back with the couple as the evening unfolds
The final photographs return to the dancing, warm light and the couple's quiet moments together, with their loved ones nearby. Moving between these close views and the wider setting is part of how I build a wedding story: not simply a record of the venue, but of the people who filled it.
When choosing the photographs, I look for a balance between the views that set the scene and those that bring us closer to the couple. The venue has its place, but Mathilde, Alexis and the people around them give the story its meaning.
